A swap charge is a fee that applies when you keep a trade open overnight. It's like an interest payment that reflects the difference in interest rates between the two currencies you're trading.

✓ Certain instruments have negative swap rates on long and short positions.
✓ The amount varies based on market conditions and what you're trading.
✓ The fee is converted to your account's base currency displayed in points.
✓ Swap values shown are applied per standard lot.
✓ A triple-size swap charge applies once per week to cover weekends
✓ Triple swaps can also be applied on specific weekdays.
✓ Forex pairs, Metals, and Energies: On Wednesdays
✓ Indices, Shares, and Cryptocurrencies: On Fridays

How Our Swap Costs are Calculated
The formula for calculating swap charges is:
Swap Cost = (Lot Size) × (Swap Rate in Points) × (Number of Nights Held)
Example 1
EUR/USD (1 Lot) - Position Held for 2 Nights
If you open a 1-lot trade on EUR/USD and hold it for 2 nights, your swap charges will be:
Long Position (Buy EUR/USD)
Swap rate: -8.6 points
Cost: 1 lot × (-8.6) × 2 nights = - $17.20
Short Position (Sell EUR/USD)
Swap rate: -0.51 points
Cost: 1 lot × (-0.51) × 2 nights = - $1.02
Example 2
XAU/USD (1 Lot) - Position Held for 3 Nights
For a 1-lot trade on XAU/USD (Gold) held for 3 nights, the swap charges will be:
Long Position (Buy XAU/USD)
Swap rate: -36.81 points
Cost: 1 lot × (-36.81) × 3 nights = - $110.43
Short Position (Sell XAU/USD)
Swap rate: -16.31 points
Cost: 1 lot × (-16.31) × 3 nights = - $48.93
Example 3
BTCUSD 1 Lot (Swaps Charge: -15%
Long Position: -15%
Short Position: -15%
If BTCUSD is priced at 50,000, the swap charge will be $20.83 per lot.
If BTCUSD is priced at 100,000, the swap charge will be $41.67 per lot.
Calculation: 1* 100,000 * 15/100/360 = 41.67$
